Youth Summit Event gathered at Maconaquah High School

MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – During the recent Youth Summit Event more than 100 members of the future workforce gathered at Maconaquah High School to network with employers. According to MHS Principal Chad Carlson, 111 students from Maconaquah, Peru, Kokomo, Logansport, Eastern, Western, and Pioneer high schools were present, along with representatives from 16 area employers and trades for this year’s Youth Summit. Students were encouraged to dress professionally and bring their resume, Carlson said. Students participated in a circuit of workshops and had the chance to network with employers and representatives of trades. Students also heard from several speakers, including Carlson; Tyler Adams, Environmental Manager and Pillar Lead for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles; Christy Householder, Director of Economic Development for Cass County; and Brooke Robertson, Director of Business Retention for the Miami County Economic Development Authority.
