William S. Gant, Jr.

William S. Gant, Jr., 66, of Indianapolis, Indiana, died at 5:38 a.m., Monday, September 30, 2019 at Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born July 25, 1953 in El Paso, Texas to William Sr. and Eleanor (Sherman) Gant.

Bill was a 1971 graduate of Northfield High Schol and received his bachelors degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was married to Annette Varney, she died in August of 1998. He worked at the Perry Township Trustee in Marion County, Indiana. Bill was an avid dart player, enjoyed playing cards, and singing karaoke.

He is survived by two children, Audie Gant of Nineveh, Indiana, and Lisa Gant of Wabash, five grandchildren, Jasmine Gant and Valerie Gant, both of Franklin, Indiana, Natali Honeycutt, Chasity Honeycutt, and Kaleb Honeycutt, great granddaughter, Brenleigh Samons, all of Wabash, Indiana, brother, Stephen Gant of Anderson, Indiana, and two sisters, Darlene Christman of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Cindy Harris of Terre Haute, Indiana. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and his grandson, Dakota Honeycutt.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Steve Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is to the family for expenses.
