Wendell W. Bradford

Wendell W. Bradford, 74, of Warren, IN, passed away at 9:24 AM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on Thursday, October 5, 1944, in Bluffton, IN to Hubert F. & Lillian R. (Leas) Bradford. He married Theresa Breedlove on December 8, 2006 in Charlotte, NC.

Wendell was a 1962 graduate of Warren High School; he received his Masters degree in Elementary Education from Huntington University. He began his 35-year teaching career at Auburn for a few years and then moved to Warren School until it closed. Wendell ended his teaching career in 1999 at Salamonie in Warren.

He coached basketball for several years, was a member of Toastmasters and attended Solid Rock United Methodist Church in Warren. He enjoyed his hog roasting business, construction, carpentry, gardening, farming, John Deere tractors, tractor pulling, Ford Trucks, sports and the Cleveland Browns.

Survivors include: Wife – Theresa Breedlove-Bradford, Warren, IN, Son – Joe (Geni) Bradford, Claypool, IN, Son – John (Melissa) Bradford, Oxford, MI, Grandchildren – Kassie (Jeff) Minich, Markle, IN, Jack Bradford, Oxford, MI, William Bradford, Oxford, MI, Great Grandson – Caedyn Wesley, Markle, IN, Brothers – Gene (Sherrill) Bradford, Auburn, IN, Stanley (Dorothy) Bradford, Fishers, IN, Richard (Sheryl) Bradford, Warren, IN, William (Marilyn) Bradford, Warren, IN, Ron (Judy) Bradford, Warren, IN, Sister – Susan (Steve) Campbell, NM, Mother-in-law – Ellen (Max) Snow, Bluffton, IN, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his: Father – Hubert F. Bradford, Mother – Lillian R. (Leas) Bradford, Son – Paul Bradford and Brother – Allen Bradford.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Solid Rock UMC 485 Bennett Drive, Warren on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Solid Rock, Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

A service to celebrate his life will be at Solid Rock at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 with Pastor Paul C. Burris & Mark Vickrey officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.
