Walter Charles Benjamin, 35, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 6:08 pm, Saturday, November 11, 2023, at his home. He was born on March 30, 1988, at the Wabash County Hospital, to Norman Lee and Elizabeth Nelda Ann (Boudreau) Benjamin.
Walter was a 2007 graduate of Northfield High School and attended Ivy Tech Community College. He worked at Bulldog Battery in Wabash for 10 years. Walter was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing pool and belonged to the American Pool Players Association. He was an active sports enthusiast, and enjoyed working on cars.
He is survived by his brother, Dennis L. Benjamin of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, November 17, 2023, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 188 W. Sinclair, Wabash, with Father Jay Horning officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of St. Bernard at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 3-7 pm Thursday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. There will be a rosary service at 7:00 pm Thursday, at the funeral home.
