Virginia Ann McCoy, 87, of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Wabash, died 7:50 am, Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on October 8, 1935, in Drift, Kentucky, to Bill and Lena (Little) Hunt.
Virginia married Daniel E. McCoy in Ligon, Kentucky on September 15, 1951; he died December 24, 2003. She worked at United Tech in Wabash 31 years, retiring in 1986. .
She is survived by two children, Terry “Pete” McCoy of Indianapolis, and Barbara (David) Music of Roann, Indiana, three grandchildren, Angela McCoy of Wabash, Indiana, Terri (Marcus) Dragoo of Lagro, Indiana, and Danielle Kreft of Lenoir, North Carolina, seven great-grandchildren, Adam Rutledge of Peru, Indiana, Michael (Julianna) Dragoo of Indianapolis, Brittany (Derek Sanchioli) Dragoo of Allison Park, Pennsylvania, Jordan Dragoo of Lagro, Indiana, Ethan Berry of Roanoke, Indiana, Kaden Berry of Wabash, and Braylin Adams of Lenoir, North Carolina, two great-great-grandchildren, Maddilynn Rutledge of Peru, and Sophia Sanchioli of Allison Park, She was also preceded in death by her parents son, Danny McCoy, and five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. Charlie Easterday officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 1-2pm Thursday, at the funeral home.
