Violet Marie Kirtlan, 83, of rural Roann, Indiana, died at 3:10 pm, Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at her home. She was born on December 20, 1938, in Miami County, Indiana, to Ervin William and Neva Pearl (Morton) Robison.
Violet was a 1956 graduate of Chili High School, in Chili, Indiana. She married Robert E Kirtlan at the Roann Church of the Brethren on August 5, 1956. Violet was a homemaker and a pastor’s wife. She was a member of the Roann Christian Church. She enjoyed being involved with Senior Saints at the Stroh Church of Christ, and loved shepherding seniors. Violet also enjoyed gardening and flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E Kirtlan of Roann, three children, Dennis (Glenda) Kirtlan of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Teresa (Frank) Baresel of Arlington, Washington, and Todd (Mary) Kirtlan of Roann, 12 grandchildren, Jeremy Kirtlan of Fort Wayne, Aaron (Trish) Kirtlan of Fremont, Indiana, Stephanie (Allen) Miller of Angola, Indiana, Nathan Kirtlan of Avon, Indiana, Danielle (Kevin) Pillow of Indio, California, Anna (Adam) Marsh of Seattle, Washington, Robert Bailey of Fullerton, California, Christopher Bailey of Renton, Washington, Zachary (Blakley) Kirtlan of Wabash, and Kimber Kirtlan of Urbana, Indiana, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Floyd Robison and Edsel Robison.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Chris Ponchot and Frank Baresel officiating. Burial will be in Roann Community Cemetery, Roann. Friends may call 2:00 – 7:00 pm, Friday, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Saturday.
Preferred memorials are to the Roann Christian Church or Roann Volunteer Fire Department.
