URBANA,Indiana – On Tuesday, the Wabash County United Fund donated a total of $10,000 to eight 2015 Wabash Cannonball Chili for Charity recipients at a ceremony at the Urbana Community Center.
The eight non-profit agencies and charitable organizations are:
85 Hope, which meet urgent healthcare needs of Wabash County adults; Wabash FAME Festival, which provides children the opportunity to experience a wide range of artistic expressions and increases their awareness of the arts; North Manchester Center for History, which currently displays 28,000 historical items in its vast collection; The Access Youth Center, which strives to provide a safe, structured environment for all Wabash area youth encouraging them to make positive life choices; the Honeywell Foundation Education Outreach, which provides curriculum-based, arts-in-education opportunities to students in Wabash County and beyond; Little League Challenger Division, which gives physically and mentally disadvantaged children the opportunity to participate in one of America’s greatest pastimes; the Manchester Early Learning Center, which provides affordable preschool and childcare ages 8 weeks to 12 years in a safe, nurturing environment; and Wabash County Transit, which provides transportation for all ages and incomes five days a week connecting people to our community.
