Thomas “Tom” Lee Simpson

Thomas “Tom” Lee Simpson, 72, Silver Lake, Indiana passed away July 21, 2020 at 5:36 a.m. at his home. On August 26, 1947, Tom was born in Wabash, Indiana to Floyd and Martha (Hiner) Simpson. Tom married Tamara “Tammy” McCullough on June 15, 1985. The two were wed for thirty-five years.

For many years Tom worked as an over the road truck driver, retiring in 2011. Tom also worked at the Silver Lake Veterinary Clinic taking care of animals that were in the kennels. He did this because of his deep love and respect for animals. Tom enjoyed wood working, watching NASCAR, World of Outlaws racing but most of all he loved playing Santa Claus every Christmas. He was a man that would do anything for his family and friends.

The memory of Tom Simpson will be forever remembered by his wife, Tamara Simpson; three sons, Thomas (Desa) Simpson II, Shane Simpson, and Das Simpson; two daughters, Marie Simpson and Tassie (David) Presson; three brothers, Tim (Carol) Kersey, Mike Kersey, Steve Simpson; one sister, Christine (Richard Lynch) Martin; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Brent C. Simpson, passed away in 2006, and one sister, Linda Brainard, passed away in 1967.

No services will be held.
