Thomas M. Tomlinson

Thomas M. Tomlinson, 72, of Parrish, FL, formerly of Hartford City, IN. passed away unexpectedly  at 1:05 AM on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at  Doctors Hospital Lakewood Ranch  in Bradenton, FL.  He was born on Friday, September 06, 1946, in Hartford City, IN to Harley Andrew & Mary Beatrice (Evans) Tomlinson. He married Norma L. Kimmel on Saturday, April 17, 1965 at the Asbury Church in rural Wells County, IN; together the two have shared almost 54 years of marriage.

 

Tom was a 1964 graduate of Montpelier High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy as a PO1 SEABEE. He was retired from CPC-GM in Marion, IN, where he worked as a journeyman/welder. Tom was a member of the Punta Gorda American Legion Post #0103, former member of the Millard-Brown American Legion Post # 156 in Montpelier, IN, Scottish Rite, Shriners, Masonic Lodge, NRA, and UAW. He loved his time with his family and his dog Tiki.

 

He will be sadly missed by his Wife – Norma L. (Kimmel) Tomlinson, Parrish, FL, Daughter – Pam (Mike) Chaney, Middlebury, IN, Daughter – Tami (Jeff) Osborn, Middlebury, IN, Daughter – Cheri (Jeff) Lengacher, Parrish, FL, Grandchildren – Marissa Chaney, Kayla (Fiance- Noah Kaplon) Chaney, Brock Chaney, Brittany (Cody) Harmon, Courtney (Kory) Barnes, Logan Osborn, Luke Osborn, Erika Lengacher, Cade Freel, Cole Freel, Braelyn Lengacher, Great Granddaughter – Sophia Healey, and Brother – John Tomlinson, Knoxville, TN.

He was preceded in death by his Father – Harley Andrew Tomlinson, Mother – Mary Beatrice (Evans) Tomlinson, and Sister – Emma Jean Jones.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A Masonic service will be held at 2:00 PM with funeral services immediately following. Reverend Billy Fields will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Hartford City, IN.
