Thomas D. Terry

Thomas D. Terry, 57, of Peru, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2018 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on Sept. 7, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio to Paul D. Terry and the late Barbara Ann (Clark) Shifflett.

He was a graduate of Peru High School class of 1979.  After graduation Tom worked 6 years for Manchester Tool and Die. He and his wife Roberta then moved to Florida where he worked for Rene Morganstein, where he produced parts for NASA. It was in Florida where Terry and Roberta found the Catholic faith at St. Anastasia and the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine. Upon returning to Peru in 1990, Tom went to work at Wilson’s and Lengerich Meats before going to work at Dana Corp. until 2005 when he became disabled.

Tom is survived by his wife of 38 years, Roberta (Gustin) Terry, Peru, one son; Blair Terry, McCordsville, granddaughter; Jade Terry, dad; Donald Shifflett, Davenport, FL, two sisters; Kimberly (Don) Simcox, Peru and Sandra (Todd) Ehlers, Parker CO, brother in law, Tom (Dianne) Gustin, Peru,  two sister in laws; Lynda Gustin, Peru, Sue (Xen) Prickett, Peru, aunts; Donna (Charles) Peiffer, Ft. Lauderdale,  Vickie Hammer, Dayton, OH, and Patty (Ken) Hensley, Ohio, several nieces and nephews,  best buddy; Jerry Palmer, Huntington and special friend; Stacy Bussard, Peru.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother, daughter; Tiffani Terry, brother in law; Ben E. Gustin, mother in law; Dorothy Gustin and his grandparents.

The family has chosen to have a gathering at a date to be determined. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Riverview Funeral Home.
