Theresa married David G. Neupert in Peru, Indiana on December 3, 1977; he died October 12, 2005. She was the Activities Director for Miller’s Merry Manor in Wabash 18 years. She was an active member of society: a member of the Wabash American Legion, a long-time member and past trustee of the Wabash Eagles Lodge, and a member of the Eagles Ladies’ Auxiliary. Theresa enjoyed bingo, cooking, and enjoying life with her friends.
She is survived by three children, Danny Lee (Andrea) Schlemmer, Melissa (Chris) Wetherford, Charlene (Donny) Blair,two step children, David C. Neupert and Kimberly (Brian) Wilburn, five grandchildren, Derek (Breann) Schlemmer, Levi Schlemmer, Zachary Wetherford, Benjamin Wetherford, and Jordan Blair, two great-grandsons, Sawyer David Schlemmer and Brody Schlemmer, all of Wabash, and her sister, Debbie (Larry) Krintz of Kokomo, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Karen Porter.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2018 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with David Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are Animal Shelter of Wabash County or Family Life Hospice of Berne, Indiana.
