Theadora “Teddy” M. Walker-Thomas, 83, Marion, died at 9:42 a.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Marion General Hospital. She was born in Alexandria, IN, to the late Theodore and Jessie (Norris) Sturdevant. She married Richard D. Thomas, and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2010.
Teddy retired from RCA in 1992 after 22 years of service. She was a member of the RCA Sympathy Club. Teddy enjoyed bingo, going to the casinos, traveling, and solving word search puzzles.
Survivors include her children, William “Bill” (Nancy Daniels) Walker, Sweetser, and Rebecca Walker, Marion; daughter-in-law, Debbie Walker; grandchildren, Jodi, Julie, Sherri, Billy, Brandon, Troy, Michael, and Roger “Trigger”; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild on the way; special friend, Betty; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Teddy was preceded in death by her son, Allen Walker, Jr.; and brothers, Bill, Robert, and Jim Sturdevant.
Friends and family may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
