WABASH,Indiana – On the next Wabash Talks, Wabash FAME Festival Director Judy Ward talks about 2016’s festival which has a theme of Indiana thanks to this year’s Bicentennial. In fact, Ward had this year’s festival sanctioned by the Indiana Bicentennial Commission as an official legacy project event. Hoosier artists and composers will be featured in the 10-annual FAME Festival which runs from 9 am until 4 pm on Saturday, April 16th at the Honeywell Center.

For the first time, the Peru Amateur Circus will perform in Legacy Hall which will be followed by a drum and dance circle by the Miami Nation of Indians. Like last year, another original music piece written by students will be premiered on the Ford Theater stage at 3 pm. Ward said that she hopes more Peru residents will make the drive over to the Honeywell Center in Wabash this year, as there are many Peru-oriented themes.

The Honeywell Center lobby is undergoing a renovation project which Ward hopes will not interfere with the festival on April 16th. Ward gave MiBash News an exclusive: the 2017 FAME Festival theme will be a multicultural one, with the festival revisiting the best themes from the last 10 years. To hear more from Judy Ward talk about the upcoming 2016 FAME Festival, tune into Wabash Talks, this Sunday morning at 9 on 105.9 The Bash.
