Terry Lee Keaffaber, 82, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died 6:05 am, Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born on September 23, 1938, in Wabash, Indiana, to Elmer F. and Nellie M. (Hollingshead) Keaffaber.
Terry was a 1956 graduate of Noble High School. He married Shirley Middleton in Wabash on December 7, 1956. Terry worked at the Container Corporation in Wabash 44 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Wabash First United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Wabash Eagles and Moose Lodges. Terry enjoyed his tractor, working in the yard, gardening, loved his dog Molly, but especially loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Keaffaber of Wabash, two children, Tina (Jay) Rife of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Robbie Keaffaber of Wabash, four grandchildren, Lane Keaffaber and Erin Keaffaber, both of Prineville, Oregon, Eric (Erin) Rife of London, Ohio, and Stacy (Dustin) Johnson of Las Vegas, three great-grandchildren, Jacob Johnson of Las Vegas, Payne Rife and Emma Rife, both of London, Ohio, and brother, Ronnie Keaffaber of Wabash. Terry was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, June 28, 2021, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor John Cook officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 2:00 -6:00 pm Sunday, at the funeral home.
