Sue W. Potter

Sue W. Potter, 87, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 9:03 am, Friday, April 27, 2018 at Parkview Health Randallia in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born January 13, 1931 in Huntington, Indiana to Lindsay “Bill” Thomas Wake and Leonore (Redding) Wake.

Sue was a 1948 graduate of Wabash High School and attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She was the coordinator of Friends In Service Here (F.I.S.H.) for over 21 years. Sue was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, the Women’s Clubhouse Association, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed gardening, antiques, traveling, volunteering, and she was very spiritual.

She is survived by her two sons, David (Barb) Potter of Batavia, Illinois, and Daniel (Susan) Potter of Ashburn, Virginia; six grandchildren, Benjamin (Kelli) Potter of South Elgin, Illinois, Hannah Potter of Chicago, Illinois, Scott (Kim) Potter of Eastampton, New Jersey, Michael (Therese) Potter of Ashburn, John “J” (Dianne) Dvorak of Fowlerville, Michigan, and Robert (Erin) Dvorak of Delta Junction, Alaska; 11 great grandchildren, and her son-in-law Steven Schultz of Las Vegas, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Laurie Ann Schultz, and her sister, Marcia Harner.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. Chris Tiedeman officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 9:30 -11:00 am Thursday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are Wabash County Cancer Society or F.I.S.H.
