WABASH, Ind. – STYX , the American band from Chicago is coming to the Honeywell Center’s Ford Theater stage on Thurs., March 23, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale on Wed., Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. Tickets are $49, $75 and $125. Corporate Sponsorship is provided by Vohne Liche Kennels.

Styx first hit it big in the early 70’s and continued to produce some of the most well-known songs around, including “Come Sail Away,” “Blue Collar Man,” “Renegade,” and “Lorelei”. The six men comprising Styx are James “JY” Young (lead vocals, guitar), Tommy Shaw (lead vocals, guitar), Chuck Panozzo (bass, vocals), Lawrence Gowan (lead vocals, keyboard) and Ricky Phillips (bass, guitar, vocals).

Styx’s biggest success came in 1981 with the release of their concept album Paradise Theater. The album reached the number one spot on the Billboard pop album charts and produced five hit singles, including “Too Much Time on My Hands.” In addition to becoming their fourth multi-platinum album, Paradise Theater helped the band win a People’s Choice Award that same year. Despite several of the band members taking time to try out solo careers, Styx came back together in 1996 for the Return to Paradise tour. It was such a success that the group decided to unite for good and have since performed at Super Bowl pre-game shows, and as recently as 2012, re-recorded two discs’ worth of its classic hits—Regeneration Volume I & II.

Styx has committed to rocking together with audiences far and wide by entering their second decade of averaging over 100 shows a year, and each one of them is committed to making the next show better than the last. Tickets may be purchased at the Honeywell Foundation Box Office by calling 260.563.1102, or online at www.honeywellcenter.org.
