Spencer Lee Pavey

Spencer Lee Pavey, 12, of Marion, passed away at 7:07 pm on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on April 30, 2008, to Joshua Lee Gillespie and Christine Pavey. He was raised in Marion by his loving adoptive mother, Pamela Pavey.

Spencer attended Marion Community Schools and enjoyed playing with his toy trains and cars. He liked watching videos on his iPad and liked going for walks. He had a special place in his heart for animals. Spencer will be remembered for his bright smile, happiness, and positive sense of humor. He had a bashful way with the people in his life whom he loved most. He will be missed dearly.

Survivors include his adoptive mother, Pamela (Greg Marley) Pavey of Marion; sisters, Makayla Madelene Sue Pavey and Caydence Pavey, grandfather, Kevin (Rhonda) Pavey; grandmother, Shelly Gillespie; great-grandparents, Paul (Joyce) Marley; aunt, Suezane (Ben) Shaffer; special cousins, Owen and Ethan; plus several cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Hayden Lee Pavey; great-grandparents, Wilbert (Madelene) Pavey and Doris (Bennie) Cornett.

The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm on Friday, January 29, 2021, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

A private service to celebrate Spencer’s life will take place with Pastor Darrell Smith officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park in Marion.
