Shirley White, 63, of Peru, passed away at 2:20 AM, Friday, September 21, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Fountain Run, Kentucky on December 18, 1954, the daughter of Thomas and Dorothy Dunn Kelsor. Shirley married Alex White on October 1, 1979 and her preceded her in death. Shirley enjoyed being a beautician for over 15 years and also being at home with her family.
Shirley is survived by her daughters Willean Bowen and her fiancé Sean Warren, Peru, Alice White and her companion Alfonzo Ford, Peru and Maxine White and her companion Troy Sowell; brothers Thomas Kelson and his wife Maxine, Peru, Jimmy Kelsor and his wife Sheila of MI, Vernon Kelsor and his wife Nichelle, Peru, J. E. Kelsor, Peru, Freddie Kelsor and his wife Freda, Peru and Gregory Garnett and his wife Malary, Peru; sisters Pam Riddle, KY, Lamotla Stephenson, KY and Carolyn Bailey, IN; grandchildren Thomas Holman, Alex Burrus, Percell Holman, Alize White, Shirley Morens, Racheal Hayes, Karen Hayes , Jayza Hayes, Oais Cobbin, Jessie White and Jessica White; great grandchildren Avery Holman and Harper Holman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alex, one brother, three sisters, 2 great grandchildren Kalexa Burrus and O’Shea Dilworth.
A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Shirley White, will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 12:00 PM, at the Wayman, AME Church, 201 E. Third Street, Peru, IN with Rev. Maurice Reed officiating. Family and friends will gather from 10:00 AM till time of the service.
