Shirley Ann Planck

Shirley Ann Planck, 84, passed away June 10, 2018 in Wesleyan Health and Rehabilitation Center, Marion after an extended illness. She was born September 28, 1933 in Minnesota and was the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (Schultz) Taugner of St. Paul, Minnesota.

A lifelong businesswoman, Shirley and her late husband, Daniel Enfield Berry, Sr. ran Coaches Sporting Goods in Marion in the 1960’s before starting Employee Information Council and Pages Editorial Services, which has operated in Marion for more than 50 years. She was later the owner of Marketing Services, Inc. of Marion and owned and managed apartments.

Shirley married Robert Planck in 1995. They enjoyed a lively retirement of travel and time with friends and family. Mr. Planck preceded her in death on January 3, 2014

Survivors include her son, Scott Enfield (Angela) Berry, South Bend; daughter, Jae Lynn (Mark) Brown, Marion; grandsons, Brock (Shelby) Berry, Denver, Colorado; David Enfield Berry, Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Megan Enfield (Kevin) Paul, Carmel; two great-granddaughters, Nesta Berry and Jude Enfield Berry, both of Denver, Colorado.

Shirley is also preceded in death by her sons, Daniel Enfield Berry, Jr. and Dixon Enfield Berry.

The family wishes to thank Helen Davison for her many kindnesses during Shirley’s illness.

The family will receive visitors on June 14, 2018 from 4-6pm in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana. The memorial will begin at 6 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in Estates of Serenity, Marion.
