Sheryl S Mitchell, 78, Marion, passed away in her home on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. She was born in Independence, Missouri, on Thursday, June 1, 1944, to Joe and Ruth (Murphy) Nelson. On August 5, 1962, she married Edward E. Mitchell and he survives.
Sheryl graduated from Mississinewa HS was a Bank Teller for Star Financial Bank. She was a member of First United Methodist Church – Marion.
Along with her husband, survivors also include her son, Edward E. Mitchell, III of Warren; daughter, Amber (Mylon) Logan of Jonesboro; daughter, Lisa Fannin of Marion; grandchildren, Justin (Allison), Adreana (Cody), Tyler (Ashton), Jessica (Arturo), Ashley (Spencer), Elizabeth (Ara), and Ben (Abby); and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe L. and Ruth E. Nelson, and sister, Donna Mejia.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Sheryl’s life will begin at 1:00 am with Amber Logan officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory – Marion.
