Sharp Creek Robotics Team Qualify For Worlds

WABASH COUNTY – Sharp Creek Elementary Robotics has had a VERY successful season. They have four robotics teams made up of 6-7 students who compete statewide during the fall and winter to win qualification bids for the VEX State Championship. All four of their  teams won various awards this season allowing us to  qualify  for the state Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Blue Norsebots won the Jack Klein Award at state  for their overall attitude and performance in robotics. This was an automatic qualifier for WORLDS in Dallas Texas.  The other three teams scored high enough in the skills portion of the competition to qualify for Worlds in Dallas, Texas.

This places all  four teams in the  top 10% of robotics teams from around the world and all 50 states.  (Some countries that will be competing with us China, South Korea, Taiwan, Canada, Dubai, New Zealand, Australia, and many more)

Sharp Creek Robotics believes that many students learn in unconventional ways, and Robotics is a great tool that allows students to be hands-on and creative.  The Robotics program  doesn’t charge any fees to students to participate, but the robotics program is not a cheap program to run.  They are looking for contributions to help fund their way to Dallas, and off set  travelcosts, and the expensive  entrance fees. THe Robotics team would love to have some community members and businesses come alongside them and sponsor their team and students. If you are interested in supporting Sharp Creek Robotics you can contact their coach Amber Bretzman at 260-563-8050 ext 477 please leave a message with your contact information and she will get back with you
