Sharon K. Gilbert, 79, North Manchester, Indiana, passed away September 8, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born on June 20, 1942 in Wabash, Indiana, Sharon was the daughter of Robert Paul and Ruth Ellen (Smith) Tyner.

Growing up in the Urbana area, Sharon graduated from Urbana High School in 1960. That same year she married her soulmate, Stephen Gilbert, on November 19, 1960.  The two were wed for nearly sixty-one years.

Sharon worked outside the home for many years at Heckman Bindery and Singer Controls. She also owned and operated S&S Family Restaurant in North Manchester. After their children were grown, Sharon and Stephen enjoyed traveling around the United States on a bus.

Faith was always a part of Sharon’s life, and she loved worshiping at Urbana United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She was also a member of the Urbana Lions Club and Home-Economics in Somerset, Indiana.
