Sharon Ann McKinney, 76, of Mulberry, Indiana, formerly of Liberty Mills, Indiana, died at 3:00 am, Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Mulberry Healthcare in Mulberry, Indiana. She was born February 22, 1945 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Lloyd and Stella (Moormann) Fagan.
Sharon was a graduate of Bishop Luers High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She married Ralph Leon McKinney in North Manchester, Indiana on January 6, 1992; he died January 13, 2015. She was a nurse’s aide at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester, and also worked for Wabash-Miami Home Health Care and Hospice. Sharon was a member of the Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed playing Bingo, dancing, and playing cards and board games.
She is survived by three daughters, Betty (Troy) Brooks of Frankfort, Indiana, Dawn (Doug) Macklin of Warsaw, Indiana, and Jessica (Michael Childers) Jefferies of Frankfort, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and her sister, Mary Jane (Steve) Pensinger of Virginia. She was also preceded in death by her parents and son, Kevin Jones.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, March 22, 2021, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main St., North Manchester, with Pastor Kelly Beutler officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
