Sara Ruth (Heater) David

Sara Ruth (Heater) David, 66, of Angola, died Friday, January 25, 2019, after a long battle with cancer.

Sara was born in Marion, Indiana, on March 29, 1952, daughter of Eldon Gene and Alice Ruth (Comer) Heater who survive in Fairmount. Sara graduated from Fairmount High School in 1970 and from Parkview Nursing School in 1973. She worked as a nurse for Parkview for 42 years. Sara enjoyed taking her 1969 Oldsmobile to car shows, visiting lighthouses, collecting Roy Rogers memorabilia, and making teddy bears, but most of all Sara loved her children.

Sara is also survived by her children, Monica Rae (Blake) Parker, Columbus, MS, and Marc (Michelle) David, Fort Wayne; siblings; Gary E. Heater, Frankfort, and Susan (Jim) Hamilton, Greensburg; grandchildren, Colin, Sarah, Riley, Victoria, and Autumn; step-grandchildren, Amber, Jessica, Brianna, Alivia, Kayley, and Caleb; step-children, Christopher (Annette) David and Kelly Baker; and her special significant other, Roger Lee.

Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Alan R. David.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Brock Meyer officiating. Burial will take place at Park Cemetery in Fairmount.
