Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2018 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12 p.m. Monday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Worlie Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Monday in Marion National Cemetery.

Ruth was born on October 6, 1932 in Huntington, the daughter of Vaughn and Alma Rose Elizabeth (Wilcoxon) Parker. She married Ross Ingle in 1965 in Huntington; he preceded her in death in 2009. Ruth worked in molding at Bircraft in Huntington. She loved to sing and play piano and organ; she also enjoyed working in her flower garden, writing poems, and simply sitting outside. She especially loved babysitting children.
Surviving in Huntington are children Danny Murphy, Kenneth (Laura) Murphy, and a daughter, Cyndie (Charlie) Shaw. She is also survived by sisters Jo Ann (Rick) Smothermon of Abilene, Texas, Judy Barton of Huntington, and Martha Bickel of Lancaster, brothers Johnny Parker of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Donnie (Sandra) Parker of New Haven, and Dale (Becky) Parker of Warren, 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Richard Murphy, Greg Murphy, and Bill Murphy, a brother, Vaughn Parker, and a sister, Rose Wyatt.
