Ruth Baldridge, 91, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 12:00 pm, Monday, November 21, 2022, at her home. She was born on September 27, 1931, in Morehead, Kentucky, to Levi and Mary (Conley) Sparks.
Ruth was a 1950 graduate of Morehead High School. She married Lenvil Baldridge in Soldier, Kentucky on October 16, 1954; he died April 25, 2016. Ruth worked at Waggoners in Wabash, retiring after 34 years. She was a member of the Wabash Free Will Baptist Church on Erie Street. Ruth enjoyed embroidering, cooking, baking, and reading. She had lived in Wabash since 1955 coming from Morehead.
She is survived by three children, Kenny (Laurie) Baldridge of Marion, Indiana, Bruce (Deborah) Baldridge of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Janet (Bob) Townsend of Roann, Indiana; two grandchildren, Naomi Easterday of Roann, and Chelsea (Andy) Majewski of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; five great grandchildren, Bryce Minick, Cami Minick, Coltyn Sellers, Carstyn Sellers, and Robby Townsend; and two sisters, Bessie Cooper of Vanceburg, Kenutcky, and Ellen Glover of Morehead. She was also preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Jason Baldridge, four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Monday, November 28, 2022, at Wabash Free Will Baptist Church, 1056 Erie Street, Wabash, with Rev. Venny VanHoose officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 2-5 pm Sunday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash.
