Roy Thomas “Tom” Hoagland, 70, of rural Claypool, Indiana, died 9:59 pm, Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born on February 18, 1951, in Wabash, Indiana, to Orvall E. and Bonnie Pauline (Walker) Hoagland.
Tom was a 1971 graduate of Manchester High School. He married Jennifer Hoffman at the First Brethren Church in Roann on February 16, 1974. He was a welder with Peabody Manufacturing and also Wabash Valley Manufacturing. Tom was a member of the Victory Rock Church. He enjoyed raising Basset Hounds, showing horses, and eating.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Hoagland of Claypool, son, Thomas Hoagland of Columbia City, Indiana, sister, Nancy Louise Joiner of Lafayette, Kentucky, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 6:00 pm, Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Victory Rock Church, 6170 S. 500 E. Warsaw, Indiana with Pastor Charles Trout officiating. Friends may call 5-6 pm Tuesday, at the church. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, North Manchester.
