Ronald D. Blair, 79, of Warren, IN, passed away at 5:15 PM on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Heritage Pointe in Warren. He married Norene A. Vickrey on Sunday, June 2, 1957 in Buckeye Christian Church; she passed away on December 23, 1998. Ron was a 1955 graduate of Warren High School. For many years he was the owner and operator of Blair Excavating. He was a member of the former Buckeye Christian Church. Ron enjoyed going to tractor pulls, playing cards (especially Euchre) and spending time with his grandkids. He was a member of the Warren Area Antique Tractor Club.
Loving survivors include: Son – Richard Blair, Warren, IN, Daughters – Lesa Salomon, Warren, IN, Linda (Husband, Kevin) Park, Warren, IN and Mary Alice VanVliet, Warren, IN, Brother- Darrell G. (Margaret) Blair-Florida, Sister – Jean Dunphy, Colorado Springs, CO, Granddaughter – Kristin A. (Husband, Scott) Flanagan, Warren, IN, Grandson – Kraig A. (Wife, Misty) Salomon, Warren, IN, Grandson – Tyler J. Park, Warren, IN Great Grandchildren- Aubree A. Salomon and Braylee A. Salomon, both of Warren, IN.
He was preceded in death by his: Mother – Viola M. (Green) Blair, Father – Paul E. Blair and Wife – Norene A. (Vickrey) Blair.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A service to celebrate Ron’s life will be at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 29, 2016; viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor and friend Gerald Moreland will officiate. Burial will follow beside his wife Norene in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.
