Ronald A. “Slim” Spicer

Ronald A. “Slim” Spicer, 75, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 4:12 am, Thursday, May 16, 2019 at his home. He was born November 8, 1943 in Danville, Indiana to Lloyd and Frances (Baldwin) Spicer.

Ronnie was a US Air Force veteran. He married Violet “Darlene” Wood in Wabash on May 10, 1975. He worked 25 years for Hank’s Construction in Wabash. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and picking berries.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Spicer of Wabash; six children, Karen (John) Hawkins of Corpus Christi, Texas, Ronald H. (Joni) Spicer of Wabash, Edna Cooper of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Kimberly Spicer, Wilburn Spicer, and Robert Spicer, all of Wabash; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson; three sisters, Patsy Churney of Los Angeles, California, Sally (John) Gallez of Westville, Illinois, and Eleanor (Dan) Smith of Attica, Indiana, and his brother, Danny (Darlene) Spicer of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, May 20, 2019 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery, Lincolnville, Indiana. Friends may call 12:30 – 2pm Monday, at the funeral home.
