Ron graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1971 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served our country overseas in Vietnam from 1971-1972, staying in the Marine Corps until 1978. He achieved the rank of Sergeant and was honorably discharged. Ron married the love of his life, Sheri, on November 5, 1983, and built the most beautiful love story over the past 40 years. Ron was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Gas City Moose, as well as a life-time member of the NRA. He was a true jack-of-all-trades, from working on countless home projects in his spare time to careers with NuVision Optical, Anaconda, PCA, and Bell Fibre. Ron finally retired from Double H Manufacturing in 2015. He collected Native American memorabilia and enjoyed going to classic car shows. He was proud of his Dodge Challenger, and he liked going for motorcycle rides on his Harley Softail Springer.

Ron will be remembered for being a proud Marine and devoted family man. Those closest to him describe him as charismatic, passionate, full of joy, and the ultimate protector to those he loved. He was playful, a mischievous instigator for fun, generous, determined, and a very proud dog dad.
