Roger Stambaugh

Roger Stambaugh, 79, of Lagro, Indiana, went to be with the Lord at 3:10 am, Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at his home.  He was born on November 27, 1944, in Paintsville, Kentucky, to Morris C. Stambaugh and Gussie (Branham) Faust.

Roger worked at United Technologies in Wabash and North Manchester, retiring after 40 years. He married Phyllis L. Owsley in Wabash on March 3, 1963. Roger was a member of Christian Heritage Church, where he served as a deacon, trustee, and Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed golfing, mowing his lawn, joking around and making people laugh, but above all else he loved the Lord and his family.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis L. Stambaugh of Lagro, two daughters, Kimberly (Lou) Hunt of Wabash, and Teresa (Daniel) Burns of Lagro, four grandchildren, Austin (Courtney Webb) Burns of Wabash, Andrew Burns of Lagro, Ashley Hunt and Lorynn Hunt both of Wabash, four great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Burns, and Kade Burns, Abel Wright, and Jaxxon Fields, all of Wabash, and two brothers, Ron (Freda) Stambaugh of Waterloo, Indiana,  Rick (Tina) Stambaugh of Salt Lake City, Utah.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and half sister, Peggy Adams.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Friday, March 15, 2024, at Christian Heritage Church, 2776 River Road, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Prater and Ron Stambaugh officiating. Entombment will be in Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum, Wabash.  Friends may call 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash.

Preferred memorial is Christian Heritage Church.
