Roberta “Colleen” Hardesty, 89, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 1:58 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Marion Health. She was born in Sweetser on Wednesday, August 30, 1933, to Robert and Bertha (Pownell) Stevens.
Colleen worked at Davidson Insurance, where she was the secretary. She was a member of and a Sunday School teacher at Hillside Wesleyan Church. Colleen also collected a variety of dolls throughout her life. She loved her family more than anything in this world and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughter, Penny Hardesty of Marion; son, Kim (Lisa) Hardesty of Marion; grandsons, Joshua Hueston of Van Buren, Christopher (Aimie) Hueston of Van Buren, and Cody Hardesty of North Manchester; granddaughter, Angela Hardesty of North Manchester; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James F. Hardesty; son, Robert Allen Hardesty; and sister, Jackie Reed.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral and Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a memorial service to celebrate Colleen’s life will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gary Bingham officiating.
