Robert Wayne Brown, 73, of Wabash, Indiana, died on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born on January 17, 1947, in Wabash, Indiana, to the late Donald and Sylvia (Brown) Brown.
Robert graduated from Wabash High School in 1965. Following high school, he served in the United States Army. He married Bonnie Jean Mahan in Campbell County, Tennessee, on November 5, 1994, she survives. Robert was the owner of Robert Brown, Inc. since 1996. He managed Brown from Wabash for 10 years and also was a truck driver for Dean Foods and Weaver Popcorn. In Robert’s spare time, he enjoyed bowling, racing cars, and playing pool.
In addition to his wife, Bonnie, he is survived by children, Debra Lynn (Ray) Carswell of Savannah, Georgia, Randall Wayne Brown and Mark David (Brandi) Castle both of Wabash, Angie (Brett) Ravenscroft of Cicero, Indiana, Troy Allen (Kim) Brewer of Wabash, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister, Jeannie (Alan) Beuoy of Florida, and two brothers, Gary Brown of Wabash, and Terry (Judy) Brown of Louisville, Kentucky. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Lamson.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. Tim Prater officiating. Friends may call one hour prior at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in the Falls Cemetery Mausoleum, Wabash.
