Robert Lada, Marion, 62, passed away in his home at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. He was born on October 13, 1955, in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, to the late Robert Lewis and Christine Delores (Kapturoski) Lada. On November 1, 1975, he married Vickie Robbins, and she survives.
Robert graduated from Marion High School in 1973 and attended IU-K (Kokomo). He retired from ISU Insurance Management in Marion, where he was a network engineer for 28½ years. Robert loved computers, reading, and watching sports and, in his younger years, coached Little League baseball. He loved his grandchildren dearly.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Vickie; children, Robert Lada, Jr., Marion, and Angela Lada, Marion; grandchildren, Riley Allen Lada and Brooklyn Marie Dungey; siblings, Mark (Kathryn) Lada, Jeff (Vicki) Lada, Keith (Jo) Lada, Mary (Dan) Schnake, and Karen (Chris) Balsimo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
