Robert L. Bosworth, 87, Gas City, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in Gas City. He was born in Jonesboro, Indiana, on March 6, 1935, to William and Edith (Minnick) Bosworth. On June 11, 1955, he married Mary Shell and she preceded him in death on October 20, 2013.
He faithfully attended Eastview Wesleyan Church. He graduated from Mississinewa High School. He worked at Owens-Illinois for 30 years and worked for Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service. He loved trains and the Chicago Cubs. He had quite the movie collection; he loved John Wayne and collected all of his movies.
Survivors include his children, Cathleen (Timothy) Conley, Robert (Wanda) Bosworth, Cheryl (Tim) Bosworth, Ronald Bosworth, Lauri (Mark) Fishback; grandchildren, Shelly, Matthew, Stephany, Briana, Nicholas, Jennifer, Jacob, Jacey, Joseph, Brandon, Karley Sargent, and Jeremy; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 5 siblings; and his dog, Oakley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Eastview Wesleyan Church, 414 N. 10th St., Gas City, IN 46933.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Robert’s life will begin at 12:00 pm with Pastor Ken Dykhoff officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory, Marion.
