Robert G. Carr

Robert G. Carr, 59, of Wabash, Indiana, died Monday, September 23, 2019 at his residence. He was born February 5, 1960 in Rochester, Indiana to Lester H. Carr and Betty (Clupper) Carr Music.

Robert enjoyed fishing, camping, and ginseng and mushroom hunting. He also enjoyed listening to music, and playing classic rock on his record player. His favorite song was “Freebird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Within the last few years of his life, he developed a relationship with Jesus and a desire to read the Bible.

He is survived by two children, Robert Gene (Crystal) Karst of Noblesville, Indiana and Summer Nickole Lothridge of Wabash, two step sons, Johnathan Karst and Clinton Karst, both of Lagro, three grandchildren, Cara Karst, Owen Karst, and Luke Karst, all of Noblesville, and his siblings, Linnie Carr, Earnest Troy Hurt, and Cathy (Jerry) France, all of Wabash, and Tina Kay Carr of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lester Henry “Sonny” Carr, and Leslie Lee “Punky” Carr, his sister, Debra Sue Carr, and his significant other, Lisa Lothridge.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Robert Karst officiating. Burial will be in Murphy Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 1-2 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
