Robert F. “Bob” Leonard, 79, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 3:01 pm, Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. He was born on August 8, 1943, in Wabash, to Russell and Dorothy (Enyeart) Leonard.
He was a 1963 graduate of Wabash High School and married Henrietta Sizemore in Wabash, on September 29, 1968. Bob was a salesman for the majority of his careerlife, retiring in June of 2015 from Northern Gases. He enjoyed riding his BMW motorcycle, camping, boating and digging his feet into the sandbar of the “cove” at Mississinewa in the days up through his 50’s and early 60’s. After retirement, you could most commonly find him spending time with his family, friends, or plopped in his chair watching westerns by winter, outside in the summer, or in the garage. Bob loved having his grandchildren Patrick and Abigael around, and loved watching them grow.
He is survived by his wife, Henrietta Leonard of Wabash; daughter, Amanda (Jeremy) Fagan and two grandchildren, Patrick Robert Fagan and Abigael June Fagan, all of Zionsville. In addition, two sisters, Linda (Larry) Thompson of Wabash, and Jane Ann Hill of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Larry Leonard, and his sister, Susan Leonard.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 30, 2022, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, at 1:30pm; his daughter, Mandi, will provide the eulogy. Friends may call from 4-7:30pm Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the funeral home.
