Richard Lee Lynch, 71, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 1:45 pm, Friday, January 13, 2023, at Parkview Health Randallia in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on September 16, 1951, in Wabash, to John W. and Mary (Elliott) Lynch.
Richard retired from Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo, Indiana after 38 years, and was a member of the UAW Local 685. He enjoyed working, farming, and tractors, but especially loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
He is survived by three children, Eric (Denise) Lynch and Andy (Shawna) Lynch, both of Wabash, and Lori (Ty) Sloffer of Noblesville, Indiana, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, his companion of 37 years, Chris Martin of Wabash; and two brothers, Robert Lynch of Wabash, and James (Wilda) Lynch of Ocala, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Lynch Jr., and his sister Susan Lynch
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 5-8 pm Wednesday, and 9-10 am Thursday, at the funeral home.
