Rhonda Edmonds, 63, Marion, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020, in her home. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Thursday, January 24, 1957, to Irwin and Arlene (Hoffman) Fischman. Rhonda married her devoted husband, Doug Edmonds, on July 9, 1983.
Rhonda graduated from New Trier High School (Northfield, IL) and Indiana University (Bloomington), receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice/Sociology/Psychology/Political Science. She worked at KB Computers Inc., where she was Co-Owner and VP of Operations.
Rhonda was both a friend and inspiration to all who knew her. Throughout her life, she served so many in the community, through her volunteer services at Cancer Services, Grant County Literacy Council, Junior Achievements, Marion Jaycees, and many others. She has served as President of the Board of Directors for Cancer Services of Grant County, President of the Board of Directors, District Director, and Regional Director with the Junior Chamber of Commerce, and was on the Board of Directors at Junior Achievements.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her father, Irwin Fischman of Northbrook, IL; brothers, Barry Fischman and Steven Fischman (Sunny Kim); sister, Karen (Michael) Mittelmark; sisters-in-law, Cathy (Bill) Bindley and Sammy Edmonds; nephews, Matthew Mittelmark, Will Bindley, and Tyler (Brittani) Edmonds; nieces, Brittany (Jesse) Roberts, Elizabeth “Liz” Edmonds, and Grace Bindley; and many great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Arlene Fischman; brother-in-law, Greg Edmonds; father-in-law, Kenny Edmonds; and mother-in-law, Mary Ann Edmonds.
A graveside service will take place at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Estates of Serenity.
