Rebecca “Becky” Ann Shroyer, 74, Sweetser, passed away at 6:32 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Summit City Health Care in Fort Wayne. She was born near Jalapa on June 8, 1944, to the late Robert and Joanna (Landis) Gordon. She married to James “Jim” L. Shroyer, Jr., who preceded her in death.
Becky was the second of four siblings. She was a member of the Sweetser United Methodist Church and served as the treasurer for over thirty years. She was a fifty-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and had been a district deputy. Becky made a career as a bookkeeper at Farmers State Bank in Sweetser.
She is survived by her sons, James Andrew and Robert Matthew (Jamadee); sister, Suzy (Roger) Haggerty; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Larry and John.
The family will receive visitors from 12 noon to 2 p.m. with Becky’s funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Pastor David Steinke will be officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Marion National Cemetery.
