Rebecca “Becky” Alice Richardson, 76, of Somerset, Indiana passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Parkview Huntington Hospital in Huntington, Indiana. She was born on August 3, 1947, to Kenneth and Maxine (Hayes) Richardson in Evansville, Indiana.
Becky’s father was in the military, so she attended several schools growing up, but graduated from Allen County High School in Scottsville, Kentucky. She was known by many for her spunky personality and fun-loving nature and for her love of her cats Kate and Caliann, and her love of chickens giving her the nickname “crazy chicken lady”.
Becky is survived by, three children, Jeffrey (Deanna) Allen of Kimberly, Alabama, Chad Mills of Huntersville, North Carolina, her “baby girl” Susan (Andy)Younce of Somerset, Indiana; six grandchildren in which she loved with all her heart. She was Mawmaw to Audrey and Becca Allen and the best Nanny to Treyton, Jaeden, and Makenna Younce and grandma to Kyle Mills; one sister, Kay Garrett of Hardinsburg, Kentucky; She was blessed in having a best friend for over 50 years, Sue Ann Allegree, her “buddy” and was always thankful for her faithfulness in their friendship.
A special thank you goes out to Wellbrooke of Wabash therapy and nursing staff and to Parkview Huntington staff for all the love and care that was given to her and her family.
