Ramona J. Brooks, 70, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital and Health Services in Indianapolis. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on July 1, 1952, to Garrett and Kathleen (Barrett) Campbell.
Ramona graduated from Indiana Soldiers & Sailors Home and received her B.S. degree in Nursing from IPFW. She worked at Marion General Hospital and later was a nurse at General Motors in Marion. Ramona was a crafty lady. She enjoyed camping and especially spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca (Don) Reyes of Annapolis, MD; step-children, Tony Brooks and Michelle Hogge; granddaughter, McKayla Bunell; and siblings Gary Campbell, Larry Campbell, Terry Campbell, and Darlene Foster.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Brooks; brother, Steve Campbell; and two sisters, Sheila Hicks and Vicki Hicks.
The family will receive visitors from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Ramona’s life will begin at 3:00 pm.
