Ralph Dean Brown

Ralph Dean Brown, 82, rural Denver, passed away at 1:31 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018, at his residence.

Born March 25, 1936, in Carrol County, Indiana, he was the son of William Orville and Melinda Pearl Blocker Brown.  On December 12, 1969, in Denver, Indiana, he was married to the former Pamela Joan Kinley, and she survives.

He was an active member of the Deedsville United Methodist Church, where he had served as Trustee and Board Chairman.  He was an avid sports fan, enjoying all North Miami High School Sports, Notre Dame Girls Basketball, Nascar, Chicago Bears, and short track auto racing.  He loved mushroom hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.  For many years, Ralph worked in the dairy industry, working as a milk-hauler and later working for AMPI as a customer service representative.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Joan Brown, rural Denver; seven children, Deanna Gibson, Rayne, LA; Rita Brown, Indianapolis; Bill Brown, Mexico; Phyllis Brown, Sheridan; Gary (Brigette) Brown, Kileen, TX; Rhonda Coby, Peru; and Sabrina (Aaron) Click, Logansport; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three siblings, Richard (Kay) Brown, Buffalo, IN; Linda Red Elk, Camden; and Donna (Howard) Bieghler, Delphi.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Wayne Lee Brown; and two brothers, Mel and Orville Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Bill Babb officiating.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 3-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at the funeral home.
