Pursuit Leads to Meth Lab

WABASH, Ind. – On November 14, 2016, at approximately 10:53 a.m. Wabash City Police were advised by the Wabash Drug Task Force of a wanted subject driving a vehicle and was exiting the Wal-Mart parking lot. Wabash City Police Officer Dan Henderson observed the vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle near Linwood/Birchwood. Officer Henderson alleges the vehicle failed to stop thus leading a chase Eastbound on U.S. 24. The Wabash County Sheriff’s Department had stop sticks set up at the intersection of U.S. 24 and St. Rd.13. Officer Henderson alleges the suspect vehicle hit the stop sticks and then continued a short distance eastbound on U.S. 24 in the westbound lanes. The vehicle turned around and traveled northbound on St. Rd 13. Officers continued to pursue the vehicle and the vehicle stopped near Poole’s Meat Market. Officers allege that a meth lab was located in the vehicle. Eugene R. Farmer Jr, 38, West Lafayette, Indiana was preliminarily arrested for a Tippecanoe County warrant, Wabash County warrant, Resisting Law Enforcement with a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana, and manufacturing methamphetamine. Abbygail P.Morse, 23, North Manchester, Indiana, a passenger in the vehicle was preliminarily arrested for obstruction of justice and aiding and manufacturing methamphetamine. A third passenger in the vehicle, Roxanne L. Daugherty, 26, Wabash, was released pending review of criminal charges by the Wabash County Prosecutors Office. This case was investigated by Wabash City Police First shift with the assistance of Wabash County Sheriff’s Department, and Wabash Drug Task Force.
