MIAMI COUNTY, IN- Maconaquah Elementary School was a pitstop for the President of the National Association of Elementary School Principals. Eric Cardwell has been visiting elementary schools in numerous states and he visited Principal Kelly McPike at Mac El last week. McPike, who is the Indiana representative for NAESP, said her and Cardwell have worked together through NAESP conferences, and she will work with him again in March at the National Leadership Conference where they will “have the opportunity to lobby on Capitol Hill on topics such as federal funding for education.” Cardwell said the STEM program and various facilities were impressive during his visit to Mac El.
