PJ Corey, 45, Fishers, passed away in her home on Sunday, April 11, 2021. She was born in Marion on Saturday, June 14, 1975, to Philip and Bobbie Corey.
PJ graduated from Eastbrook High School where she was class Valedictorian in 1993. She continued her education at Purdue University, where she received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1999. She was in an academic pharmacy fraternity, Phi Delta Chi. PJ worked at various pharmacies throughout her life, which included Marion General Hospital, IU Health, Community Health System, Target, Amersham, and Aurora Health Care. She was also a 10-year 4-H member in Grant County.
PJ was known for always being a hard worker and one who deeply loved her two daughters. When she wasn’t working, she loved spending time and traveling with her daughters. She loved Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift concerts. She was a huge Purdue fan and loved watching Purdue athletics. Halloween was her favorite holiday and she always went above and beyond, especially dressing up with her daughters.
Survivors include her parents; daughters, Reagan Rutowski and Rylyn Rutowski, both of Fishers; sisters, Rachelle (Greg) Roush of Saline, MI, and Teresa (Tim) Templin of Converse; nieces and nephews, Corissa, Evan, and Wade Roush and Tori, Claire, and Corey Templin; and special dog, Phoebe.
The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Grace Community Church, 1810 E. Bradford Pike, Marion, IN 46952.
A celebration of PJ’s life will begin at 3:00 pm with Pastor Tom Mansbarger officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PJ Corey Legacy Scholarship (Acct#3813456), c/o First Farmers Bank and Trust, 1710 W. Kem Rd., Marion, IN 46952. This scholarship fund has been established for an Eastbrook graduate who will attend Purdue University.
