Phyllis Louise Baker

Phyllis Louise Baker, 76, of Mooresville, Indiana, formerly of Wabash, died at 1:10 am, Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Millers Merry Manor, in Mooresville.  She was born on October 25, 1946, in Wabash, Indiana, to Russell H. and Anna Marie (Green) Miller. 

Phyllis was a 1964 graduate of Northfield High School. She married Morris Walter Baker in Urbana, Indiana on May 29, 1964; he died May 31, 2018. Phyllis worked at Wabash Alloys several years. She was a member of the Urbana Yoke Parish, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  

She is survived by two daughters, Diane Roberts of Columbia City, Indiana, and Jennifer (Ryan) Burns of Mooresville; five grandchildren, Breann Roberts, Brendan Roberts, and Baylie (Luke) Getts, all of Columbia City, Emily Burns and Alex Burns, both of Mooresville; brother and sister, Myrval (Ethel) Miller of Columbia City, and Evelyn Miller of Decatur, Georgia.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, step mother, Ann (Hahn) Miller, and her brother, Marlin Miller.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with David Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.  Friends may call 4-8 pm Friday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is Urbana Yoke Parish.
