Phyllis J. (McMillan) Everhart, 90, Fishers, passed away at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. She was born in Marion on April 16, 1928, to the late James and Anna (Storms) Ford.
In February of 1944, Phyllis married Donald M. “Max” McMillan. They shared 34 years together before he passed away in 1978. Phyllis then met a gentleman by the name of Fred Everhart, and they later married. He, too, preceded her in death.
Phyllis was a homemaker and served her family faithfully. She always looked forward to spending time with everyone, and she was blessed with a large and loving family. She enjoyed cleaning her house, and she also loved animals and feeding birds.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her son, Pat (Jenny) McMillan, Syracuse; sisters, Carolyn (Don) Carol, Marion, Mary Ann (Larry) Miller, Marion; brothers, Jerry (Linda) Ford, Marion, and Tommy (Lanna) Ford, Marion; son-in-law, Phil Ruley, Gas City; daughter-in-law, Patti McMillan; sister-in-law, Beverly Ford, Marion; and 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were children, Patricia McMillan, Phyllis Ann McMillan, Sandy Ruley, and Mike McMillan, as well as her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy (Phyllis) Ford, Mack Ford, and Dave (Grace) Ford.
At the request of Phyllis, there will be a graveside service, which will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Gardens of Memory, Marion, IN.
