Phyllis A. Swain, 78 of Huntington passed away at 12:05 pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor. Phyllis was a 1956 graduate of Huntington High School. She was a member of the Gethsemane Church. She had worked for several years at Miller’s Merry Manor. Phyllis enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting.
Phyllis was born on January 6, 1938 in Huntington, the daughter of Russell J. and Dorotha M. (Stoltz) Bowman.
She was united in marriage to Robert Swain on May 11, 1957 in Marion. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include a son: Rodney Swain of Huntington; two daughters: Paula (Phil) Goble of Sun City, AZ; Pamela (Dick) Hazlett of Sun City West, AZ; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Delbert Bowman, Glen Bowman, Russell Bowman; a sister: Pauline Gephart; a stepdaughter: Mary Beth Beekman of Marion and two granddaughters.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
