Phillip L. Boxell, 77, of Warren, IN, passed away at 12:14 PM on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN. He was born on December 27, 1940, in Warren, IN to Paul B. and Edna (Meese) Boxell. He married Lucille M. Bryant on Saturday, September 12, 1959 in Huntington, IN. He was a graduate of Warren High School, class of 1958. He enlisted in the US Army, Feb. 1959 for 3 years of service, discharged April 1962. He retired from 3M in Hartford City in 1998 after 36 years of continuous service as a machine repairman. Phil was a 35+ year member of the American legion (now post #7 in Huntington.) He thoroughly loved nature and all aspects of the outside world. He would help all friends with whatever talents he could assist with and to those who let him give his time and resources to, thank you.
Preceded in death by his parents Paul B. & Edna E. (Meese) Boxell, 2 Brothers and 1 Sister. He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, 3 grandchildren and 2 sisters.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A service to celebrate Phil’s life will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Gerald Moreland officiating. Interment will follow in the Jones Cemetery in Jackson Twp. Wells County, with military honors conducted at the graveside.
